ESTER

This cat was rescued by Tears, animal rescue on Friday, 6/22/07. She was on a rock island ledge in Smith Lake and it is unsure if she swam to it, or fell off the embankment onto it. Either way, she was there for a long time in the hot sun and was suffering from extreme heat exhaustion. It was for sure she wasn't going to take another swim.

She is still at the vet, we will pick her up tomorrow.

Below is the ledge she was on. She had to be retrieved by boat, since that rock is surrounded by water on all sides. It is about a 25 foot drop down to the ledge if she fell.
