FINCH

Finch is a sweet, little girl who suffered much before coming to TEARS. Hueytown police called her in one freezing cold day in November of 2005. When rescue personnel arrived, they were shocked that anyone could be so cruel to another living benig.

Finch was tied to a tree with a short rope that did not allow her to comfortable lay down. She had no shelter and had stood on one spot for so long, her paws were actually frozen to the ground!! She was emaciated, shivering and weak from malnutrition. As a result of her neglect, Finch had to have a few of her back toes amputated.

She bears no hard feelings of that awful time in her life. Instead she greets her foster mom and everyone she meets with tail wags and doggie kisses.

She is simply adorable, weighing in at only 35 lbs or so. We are not sure of her mix, but have been told she resembles a Japanese breed called the Jindo. Finch is spayed, heartworm negative and fully vaccinated. She has a wonderful, sweet personality. She is good with other dogs but has not been tested with cats. Finch is hoping her forever home comes soon for her.
